Introduction
Laughing Bear Cabin is a picture-perfect historic log cabin nestled in the forests of the Cascade Mountains. It is ready for your cozy weekend getaway in the heart of Mt Hood's year-round recreation area.
Laughing Bear Log Cabin was built in 1930 by the Steiner brothers who also worked on Timberline Lodge. In all, they are reported to have built some 80 cabins in the Mt Hood area. One of their signature design features is the Horizon Star or Sundial design that can be found in the eave of the front porch. They were also well known for their engineering skills and in particular, their use of bent wood found in nature on the mountain and the extended eaves on their cabins.
As you approach the Cabin nestled in the old growth forest, you can see the Steiners' signature Horizon Star fanned out above the porch steps and the naturally bent tree trunks and limbs used for the porch uprights and handrails.

Deposit, Taxes and Fees
Deposits for pets are $100/pet, refundable after check out. Room tax is 7%. All rates are based on a 2 person occupancy. Any additional persons would be another $10 plus room tax.

Cancellation and Refund Policy
All cancellations or reschedulings must be made at least 2 weeks prior to the check in date. Cancellations made on-time will be refunded.
